Empowering Growth Through Connection, Movement, and Nervous System Resilience-one person, team, and community at a time.
We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, connected, and engaged in activities they enjoy, love, and need to do (occupations). To support this, we provide a variety of tools and experiences, such as myofascial release, Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Yoga, Somatic coaching, strength training, and movement practices that help regulate the nervous system and build resilience for increased participation in everyday activities for children, adults, and businesses. Our inclusive, strengths-based, and neurodiverse approach supports emotional and physical growth for families and communities throughout different stages of life, whether recovering from health challenges or navigating transitions into adulthood or in motherhood, menopause, and other life stages.
Alignment Through Awareness, Creativity, and Connection
We believe that alignment isn’t about changing who you are—it’s about recognizing your potential and adapting to change in ways that enhance your engagement and participation in everyday life. Through greater awareness of your body and its patterns, you can begin to reconnect with how you move, feel, and function.
Fascial restrictions, tightness, or limitations within the body’s connective tissue system can interfere with this natural alignment, often contributing to discomfort, reduced mobility, and a sense of disconnection within the body. By gently releasing these restrictions, JFB Myofascial Release (MFR) supports the body’s ability to realign, creating space for improved movement, increased body awareness, and a deeper sense of connection.
With over 35 years of experience, we are a holistic occupational therapy practice committed to supporting both neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals. Occupational therapy complements this process by addressing the whole person. With a holistic understanding of all body systems, therapists help translate these physical changes into meaningful improvements in daily life.
The John F. Barnes (JFB) approach to Myofascial Release uses sustained, hands-on techniques to support both physical and emotional well-being. Research suggests that myofascial release may help reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall function, allowing individuals to engage more fully in the activities that matter most (Ajimsha et al., 2023).
